Software Engineer
About the Role
Fazeshift is growing its engineering team, and we're looking for a mid-level engineer ready to take on more ownership and impact. You'll ship full-stack features end-to-end, own meaningful parts of the product, and grow quickly alongside a small, high-caliber team. This is a role for someone hungry to level up — you'll be trusted with real responsibility early, working directly with the founders as we build out the engineering team around you.
What You'll Do
Build and ship full-stack features across the Next.js frontend and backend API layer
Own schema changes, migrations, and backfills across Prisma and MySQL, with guidance on the trickier rollouts
Contribute to engineering quality through code review, testing, and participating in system design discussions
Take part in on-call, incident response, and improving observability and runbooks
Work closely with the founders to turn product ideas into shipped features
What We're Looking For
3–5 years of professional software engineering experience
Solid TypeScript skills across the stack
Comfort with modern React patterns and Next.js
Experience with relational databases and ORM-based schema management (Prisma or similar)
A growing sense for API design, reliability, and clean, maintainable code
Comfort operating in a fast-moving, early-stage environment — or a strong desire to
High ownership mindset — you're hungry for more responsibility and don't wait to be told what needs to be done
Nice to Have
Exposure to event-driven or workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Inngest)
Experience in fintech, revenue operations, or B2B SaaS
Experience shipping in a startup or small-team environment
Our Stack
TypeScript · Next.js · tRPC · Prisma · Zod · Inngest · MySQL
What We Offer
Competitive salary and meaningful equity
Full benefits (medical, dental, vision)
Flexible PTO
Real ownership and a fast path to grow your scope and impact
