PointOne is reinventing how law firms operate. We build infrastructure for the legal industry, powering timekeeping and billing systems used by law firms and government agencies.
Our AI timekeeper helps attorneys capture billable time automatically and provides rich insights that transform how legal work is managed. We're a Tier 1 venture-backed startup (Y Combinator, Bessemer, 8VC, General Catalyst) made up of engineers (Google, Applied Intuition, Jane Street) and ex-attorneys. Alongside a recent Series A round and rapid customer adoption, we're expanding our engineering team to keep up with overwhelming demand.
Who you are
You have:
5+ years of experience at hyper-growth startups and/or leading big tech companies
A CS degree from a top university
Strong product sense
High degree of ownership and the ability to operate autonomously

What you’ll do
Develop novel AI products, providing customers with entirely new workflows.
Work directly with customers (you’ll be visiting their offices with us) to understand needs, prioritize requests, and translate them into technical solutions.
Prototype and integrate AI pipelines (e.g., retrieval‑augmented generation) to prove out new workflows.
Lead by example through mentoring future hires, pairing, and code reviews. You'll shape our engineering culture.
You're excited to work in-person at an early-stage company, talk to customers and get your hands dirty across a variety of products and domains. You will work with the founders and early employees to build a category-defining product, continue scaling it to massive enterprises, and become a leader in the organization. We’ll do this every day, together, in-person, because we understand that every minute counts in the early days of a startup.
To accomplish this, you will own and ship products.
You’ll talk to customers throughout the day over Teams, video and phone calls.
You’ll listen to their needs and develop a plan based on the highest priority items.
You’ll ship code to execute on the plan. We put new code into production multiple times per day.
Our tech
We have a fully serverless backend built on top of AWS, consisting of a collection of Go microservices. We use React/Typescript to build client applications across web, desktop, and mobile. We create our own RAG pipelines.
The compensation for this position is determined by multiple factors, including prior experience and expertise. A competitive equity component will also be offered as part of the package.
