Requirements

Must-have

• 5-9 years of professional software engineering experience with meaningful time as a senior IC or tech lead
• Has shipped production systems at scale and been on the hook when they broke
• Customer-embedded engineering background : prior FDE, Solutions Engineer who codes, Implementation Engineer, or similar customer-facing technical role at a high-growth AI or enterprise software company
• Comfortable handling Director-level stakeholders
• Strong Python fundamentals, can navigate document processing pipelines, modern AI/LLM infrastructure, and integrations
• Disciplined pragmatism: ships pragmatic code with tests, knows when a hack is the right call, knows how to refactor before it becomes tech debt
• Pattern recognition: sees the same customer ask twice and instinctively reaches for an abstraction
• Energized by in-person collaboration in SF office
• Direct experience in logistics (significant plus per Amari)
• Frontend reps, in addition to backend depth
• Prior FDE work at a frontier AI company (Palantir, Scale AI, Cresta, OpenAI solutions team, similar)
• Prior experience building or scaling an FDE function at a Series A or B startup
• Background in document processing, OCR, or AI-driven extraction systems
